The Role

As a member of the project delivery team, you will work closely with our client to better understand the technical direction of the business unit and how we can support and contribute towards this.

The Candidate         

  • Experience in organising and performing prototyping and proof of concepts
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (TDD, SCRUM, Kanban, etc)
  • Experience using and deploying on Cloud based platforms
  • Knowledge of relational and non-relational database systems
  • Ability to quickly research and learn new programming tools and techniques
  • Experience building server-side web applications and detailed knowledge of more than one programming language
  • An ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Experience working on technical projects within a team
  • Knowledge of the use of version control systems such as subversion or git

  • Recommend and participate in the design and implementation of standards, tools and methodologies
  • To help develop Leighton business through strong client relationships and introductions
  • Provide guidance / coaching, training and development of the technical team to be increase their domain knowledge and skill set in line with client’s technical direction
  • Conduct ongoing reviews of projects to make sure they meet the requirements of the project
  • Shares best practices, lessons learned
  • To help promote the Leighton brand and identity
  • Responsible for delivery of targeted revenue as part of business plan, supporting maximisation of commercial opportunities on projects. Identification of new opportunities shared with commercial team
  • Contribute enthusiastically to the continuous improvement of coding practices, application quality, tooling and agile processes
  • Provide technical guidance to the business unit management team
  • Support the recruitment of development resource 
  • Work with the delivery teams and partners to break technical requirements down into appropriate pieces, and to identify key API requirements for integration with internal and external systems
  • Ensure that new and updated platforms, products and transactions are thoroughly tested for performance, can handle specified load, and can be maintained over the long-term
  • Advise on, technically lead, and implement delivery projects providing guidance and mentoring in technical delivery and software
  • Provide mentorship for software developers and junior software developers
