The Role

Leighton’s portfolio contains both custom built applications to suit a customers specific needs and also Leighton owned products built to address problems in a common market and set up in a tailored way to improve a customers internal process.

We are looking to recruit a Product Manager to take ownership of both new and exisiting products within the Leighton portfolio. You’ll report to the Head of Software Delivery supporting the delivery of various projects being managed through both waterfall and agile methods. 

You’ll be responsible for facilitating analysis of current-state and future-state process and capabilities to establish gaps and to identify and link appropriate business requirements. 

The Candidate         

The ideal candidate for this position will be a driven and experienced Product Manager with a proven analytical background. You’ll have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organisation, whilst ensuring a high degree of accuracy to outputs and deliverables.

Essentially you will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or related field or an MBA.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in business analysis or a related field.
  • Experience working with senior decision makers.
  • Strong communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Experience in working in a software delivery environment.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • A history of leading and supporting successful projects

Key Responsibilities 

Ownership of new and exisiting projects within the Leighton Portfoliofrom initial fact finding and analysis through to project delivery and release. 

  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement.
  • Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
  • Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
  • Performing requirements analysis.
  • Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Working closely with clients, technicians, and managerial staff.
  • Allocating resources and maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Managing projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance.
  • Updating, implementing and maintaining procedures.
  • Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
  • Managing competing resources and priorities.
  • Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Variance Analysis.
  • Reporting.
